Alzheimer's & Dementia Care

Understanding the unique challenges of Alzheimer’s and dementia, New Community Extended Care provides specialized structured activity services to support our residents with cognitive impairments. Our caregivers are specially trained to address the needs of those with cognitive challenges. The daily structured activity program provides clear and close monitoring of all residents with cognitive impairment, minimizing weight loss issues, falls, injuries and rapid decline. Families are supported with their needs and understanding of the disease process through meetings. We utilize different visual equipment, music, arts and crafts, etc. to continue to stimulate and help with memory retention.
