Visitation at New Community Extended Care Facility has resumed. Hours for visitation are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and are limited to two individuals at a time. No children are currently permitted to visit our residents. Masks continue to be required for everyone who enters the building. If you have questions, please call 973-624-2020.

As per the recommendation from the City of Newark Department of Health and Community Wellness, visitation for New Community Extended Care will be placed on pause for the safety and wellbeing of our residents and staff due to the high rate of positivity for the COVID-19 Omicron variant.
If visitation is necessary, only one visitor will be allowed at a time and the visitor must be fully vaccinated and boosted and will be required to wear a mask at all times. Screenings will also be conducted (taking temperature and completing a questionnaire).
The city will continue to monitor cases in our most vulnerable population including seniors and residents at long-term care facilities as they continue to modify recommendations based on science and data.
