Extended Care Celebrates Black History Month
New Community Extended Care Facility hosted a Black History Month celebration for residents on Feb. 21. Residents and staff members dressed for the occasion, shared information about historically significant Black figures, spoke about their experiences and sang. They also enjoyed a warm meal together.

Extended Care Resident Celebrates 101st Birthday
New Community Extended Care Facility resident Edna Hill celebrated her 101st birthday on Dec. 13. Volunteer Advocate from the Ombudsman’s Office, Florence Mason, came to the facility to present her with balloons and presents to mark the occasion. We wish Ms. Hill all the best in the year ahead.
Extended Care Hosts Christmas Party for Residents and Families
New Community Extended Care Facility held a Christmas party for residents and their families on Dec. 18. The event crowned a King, Queen and Queen Mother (who recently turned 101 years old!). We hope everyone had a great time and wish everyone a very happy holidays.
