As an annual review and reminder to all professional staff, physicians, NPs and prescribers, residents and representatives, please be reminded that per New Community Extended Care antimicrobial stewardship program all antimicrobial prescriptions must be accompanied with appropriate diagnosis based on identifiable signs and symptoms with possible backup laboratory results. To avoid unnecessary use of antimicrobials which could result in resistance to important medications, it is once more imperative that all prescribers adhere to the rules of ensuring appropriate use.
